My short story

Hi, my name is Jakub and I paint.

I create abstract artworks where intentional composition meets the spontaneity of gesture. Each piece begins with a carefully prepared canvas and meticulously mixed colors, yet the final outcome always carries an element of the unknown. I set the framework — the palette, the movement, the balance — but the painting reveals its own direction in the moment.

In my work I blend calm tonal foundations with vibrant, dynamic marks. I aim to capture distilled fragments of emotion and reality — something abstracted, yet I hope you may find it familiar in your own way.

I work in a small studio in the heart of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains, a quiet and unexpectedly inspiring place. My process is rooted in silence, focus, and introspection. Most days begin with stillness, sometimes followed by music or simple guitar improvisations that set the tone for the work ahead. In this calm and isolated space, I translate the energy of my surroundings into color, texture, and movement on canvas.
